FREEDOM IN THE SKY

As a child, Gillian Wintermute was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. She spent a decade battling the disease. Her dreams were her only refuge, where she imagined outdoor adventures far beyond her hospital bed.

Through artful and immersive filmmaking, Freedom in the Sky tells Gillian's story of resilience from a patient to a pioneer in the paramotor world. Today, she travels the globe in her vintage Volkswagen van, alongside a vibrant paramotor community, chasing the wind and teaching others to find their own horizon.

And, she's building a legacy for others. Currently, she's spearheading the first-of-its-kind paramotor training program in the US dedicated to female pilots.
