Musicbed named Refined the Best Narrative winner in the Summer 2026 Musicbed Challenge.
Refined is a dreamlike short film about transformation, connection, and the forces that shape us. Set between the familiar and the surreal, the story follows characters moving through a world where everyday moments give way to something altogether more mysterious.
Built around poetic imagery rather than conventional exposition, the film uses magical realism, practical effects, VFX, atmospheric lighting, and immersive sound design to turn abstract ideas into tangible visual experiences.
A visually ambitious narrative piece created as a celebration of cinematography, music, and cinematic storytelling. The film was selected as Musicbed Challenge Summer 2026’s Best Narrative winner.
