STARBUCKS x GLOBAL REFUGE

After fleeing violence in Burma, Mohammad Karim and his family arrived in Atlanta determined to build a new life. With support from Global Refuge and The Starbucks Foundation, Mohammad found guidance, community, and opportunities to begin building a future in a new country.

Through intimate interviews and observational footage, the film follows Mohammad and his family as they navigate work, education, and everyday life while adapting to their new home. Their story also offers a glimpse into the people and programs helping refugees find stability, connection, and a sense of belonging.

A deeply personal portrait of resilience, community, and the possibility of a new beginning.
